WOW!!! I had no idea how much this book would speak to me. I was sceptic at first. Honestly I didn’t think that this series could be even better than the Calloway Sisters – but luckily I was soooo WRONG!!!

Don’t date your bodyguard.
It was the one rule he had to break.Maximoff Hale is a force of nature. A ship unwilling to be steered. Headstrong, resilient, and wholly responsible — the twenty-two-year-old alpha billionaire can handle his unconventional life. By noon, lunch can turn into a mob of screaming fans. By two, his face is all over the internet.
Born into one of the most famous families in the country, his celebrity status began at birth.
He is certified American royalty.
When he’s assigned a new 24/7 bodyguard, he comes face-to-face with the worst case scenario: being attached to the tattooed, MMA-trained, Yale graduate who’s known for “going rogue” in the security team — and who fills 1/3 of Maximoff’s sexual fantasies.
Twenty-seven-year-old Farrow Keene has one job: protect Maximoff Hale. Flirting, dating, and hot sex falls far, far out of the boundary of his bodyguard duties and into “termination” territory. But when feelings surface, protecting the sexy-as-sin, stubborn celebrity becomes increasingly complicated.
Together, boundaries blur, and being exposed could mean catastrophic consequences for both.

my thoughts
Damaged Like Us is the beginning of an epic series. I never thought that anyone could replace Rose and Connor, from Kiss the Sky, in my affections, but Maximoff and Farrow did so with such ease, I was shocked how fast I fell for both of them.
If you haven’t read this series, it’s one of the most unique contemporary romance series there is. Different in every sense. Now, since the author’s are giving the second generation a chance to shine, the expectations are unbelievably high.
For me, Maximoff and Farrow, the author’s first go at a MM romance, are the ultimate goal of a great, charismatic and addicting couple. I have read this book a couple times already, and it has not yet lost any of it’s charm.
I’m in love with these two – utterly in love.
Maximoff and Farrow have by far one of the most fulfilling and perfect relationship I have witnessed so far. The push and pull is utterly unique, none gives an inch, always challenges the other, and it all is like catnip for me. I can’t get enough of it.
Before you start with this series, I would suggest read their parent’s story first. There are just too many characters in this series, to jump into it without the backstory. And you want to read the crazy backstories, because as I said above, it’s incredibly fascinating and different.
